I’m a Certified Civil Trial Attorney who litigates in the areas of personal injury,

As a partner with Fontanella,
What is a New Jersey Certified Civil Trial Attorney?
A Certified Civil Trial Attorney is a designation granted by the New Jersey Supreme Court to attorneys who are able to demonstrate sufficient levels of experience, education, knowledge and skill in civil trial practice.
The Supreme Court, through its Board on Attorney Certification, designates only those lawyers who apply for certification and who are able to meet the standards set by the Board and approved by the Court.
At present (June 2012 data) out of the nearly 72,000 active attorneys in New Jersey, only 1,600 (2.2%) hold Board Certification from the New Jersey Supreme Court. Eric W. Smith is proud to be among that group.
The certification program helps the public to find attorneys who have demonstrated proficiency in specialized fields of law. Certification helps lawyers by giving them a way to make their experience known to the public and to other lawyers. Certification also encourages the maintenance and improvement of attorney competence in specialized fields of law.

“Not only did Eric listen to my story, he had the utmost sympathy for my situation. I received follow ups after every meeting and he truly did everything you could to speak with experts, have files reviewed and guide me along the way. Despite his case load, I can tell that he treats every one of his clients with individual attention.“
